Speed Testing

For the most accurate results, speedtests should be run from a computer that has a wired connection to the modem or router via an ethernet cable, and completed using the Speedtest App by Ookla.

Running a Speedtest from the Speedtest App

1. Go to www.speedtest.net in an internet browser such as Google Chrome, FireFox, Safari, or Internet Explorer
2. Below the GO button, select the device you wish to download the Speedtest App to (Windows, Mac, etc.)
3. Follow the instructions to download and install the app
4. Once open, below the GO button, click the Change Server button
5. Select Olds, AB – O-NET from the server list
6. Click the GO button

2. Search for “Speedtest by Ookla”
3. Download and open the app
4. Below the GO button, tap the Change Server button
5. Select Olds, AB – O-NET from the server list
6. Tap the GO button
